Brandfetch — Claude Code MCP server: brands, logos, data
Gives your assistant brand search, logos and company records through the Brandfetch API. Handy when a task needs a logo wall, a competitor table or brand context for copy.
claude mcp add --transport http brandfetch https://mcp.brandfetch.io/mcpWhat Brandfetch does
Eight tools ship with the server. brand_search looks brands up by name. get_brand resolves a full record from a domain, email, ticker, ISIN or crypto symbol. get_brands returns up to 25 brands in a single call, which suits logo walls and comparison tables. enrich_transaction turns a bank-statement string into a merchant brand, and get_brand_context hands back model-ready material on voice, audience, positioning and style. build_logo_urls assembles CDN links with no API call at all.
On hosts that support MCP Apps, get_brand renders an interactive card with a logo preview, a format switcher and download or copy-URL actions. Elsewhere you get plain JSON. The widget lives in ui/ and is served as the ui://brandfetch/brand-card.html resource.
The hosted endpoint https://mcp.brandfetch.io/mcp is the quickest route — nothing to install. Auth uses a bf1. token from the Keys and MCP page in the Brandfetch dashboard, or OAuth in clients that support it. Watch the credits: get_brand, get_brand_data, get_brands, enrich_transaction and get_brand_context draw on your plan, and get_brands charges one credit per brand returned. A free plan answers batch lookups with 403, so pull those brands one at a time through get_brand_data instead. Self-hosting runs in Docker and listens on http://localhost:8080/mcp; without Docker you need uv and Python 3.11.

Questions about Brandfetch
How do I install Brandfetch in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http brandfetch https://mcp.brandfetch.io/mcp. Then add an Authorization: Bearer bf1.YOUR_TOKEN header with a token from the Brandfetch dashboard.
What does Brandfetch do?
It is the official Brandfetch MCP server, giving an assistant brand search, company data, logos and brand context. Some tools spend API credits, others stay free.
Why does get_brands return 403?
Batch lookups are not part of the free plan. Fetch the same brands one by one with get_brand_data.
