What Ausca does

Ausca is an MCP server plus a set of paid services for agents: text recognition in documents, parsing of forms and tables, transcription of audio and video, a remote browser reachable over CDP, and a receive-only email address. There is no signup and no key to paste. Every call settles in USDC on Base, and a finished invocation comes with a signed receipt and a public page where its hash can be checked.

The local server holds your wallet and pays inside the cap you set. Two variables go into the config: AUSCA_PRIVATE_KEY and AUSCA_MAX_PAYMENT_USD. Without the private key paid calls cannot go through, and the cap is the ceiling for a single request. A remote server at https://ausca.com/mcp handles discovery, preparation and state reads, but signing always happens on your machine — that is why the local server exists.

Documents and media are not sent as raw bytes. You commit an artifact first with npx ausca commit file.pdf, and the returned reference is what the offer input carries. The catalog, prices and schemas are public in ausca.com/catalog.json. CLI runs and paid MCP calls both require an idempotency key: save it before paying, because a retry under a fresh key counts as a new purchase.

What it helps with

  • pull text out of a scan with per-line confidence
  • parse tables and signatures in a submitted document
  • get a transcript of an audio or video file
  • spin up a remote browser for a session
  • give an agent an address that receives mail

Example prompts for the agent

  • Run OCR on file.pdf through Ausca and show line confidence
  • Start a browser session for 10 minutes and open the login page
  • Create an inbox for an hour and check the incoming mail

Questions about Ausca

How do I install Ausca in Claude Code?

Add the server with claude mcp add --transport http ausca https://ausca.com/mcp. To pay from your own side, use the local variant: `claude mcp add --env AUSCA_PRIVATE_KEY=<AUSCA_PRIVATE_KEY> --env AUSCA_MAX_PAYMENT_USD=<AUSCA_MAX_PAYMENT_USD> --transport stdio ausca -- npx -y ausca`.

What does Ausca do?

It exposes five paid services to an agent: document OCR, document analysis, media transcription, a remote browser and an email inbox. Calls are paid in USDC on Base, and each completed one returns a receipt.

Does Ausca need an API key?

No account or API keys are involved. The local server signs with a wallet private key and respects AUSCA_MAX_PAYMENT_USD, charging per call instead.
