aistudioworkspaceapproval-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: approval gate
A paid remote MCP server that checks AI Studio workspace changes, approves model runs, and hands back receipts plus an audit log.
claude mcp add --transport http aistudioworkspaceapproval-mcp https://aistudioworkspaceapproval.clauxel.com/mcpWhat aistudioworkspaceapproval-mcp does
The server speaks Streamable HTTP and answers JSON-RPC calls. Five tools ship with it: check_workspace_change inspects a change, approve_model_run signs off on a model run, estimate_ai_studio_spend gives a spend estimate, issue_workspace_receipt produces a structured receipt, and export_workspace_audit dumps the audit trail. Receipts and logs are shaped for a reviewer to read.
This is hosted and paid, not a local package. Production calls need a bearer token issued on the product site, sent as Authorization: Bearer <token>. Requests to /mcp without it fail; an unauthenticated browser visit gets a JSON error rather than internals. Pick a plan first, then create or request the token.
Any client that supports remote Streamable HTTP servers can connect: Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Zed, Gemini CLI. The endpoint is https://aistudioworkspaceapproval.clauxel.com/mcp. The repository holds public documentation only, so you judge the tools by what the server returns, not by reading source.
What it helps with
- check a workspace change before it lands
- approve a model run and leave a trace
- estimate AI Studio spend ahead of a run
- issue a structured receipt for an approval
- export the audit trail for a reviewer
