a2areplayreceipt-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: replay A2A failures
A hosted MCP server that replays failed A2A agent calls, sorts the error into a type, and hands back a receipt with the failure log.
claude mcp add --transport http a2areplayreceipt-mcp https://a2areplayreceipt.clauxel.com/mcpWhat a2areplayreceipt-mcp does
The endpoint is https://a2areplayreceipt.clauxel.com/mcp, served over Streamable HTTP. Five tools ship with it: replay_a2a_failure reruns a call that broke, classify_agent_error labels what went wrong, suggest_retry_plan lays out a retry, issue_replay_receipt produces the receipt, and export_failure_log dumps the log. Tool output is structured, so it drops straight into a review thread.
Production calls need a bearer token. Skip that and the server rejects the request. The repository holds documentation only — no source, no credentials, no payment setup — so self-hosting is not on the table here.
The server card lives at https://a2areplayreceipt.clauxel.com/server-card.json, and the registry name is com.clauxel.a2areplayreceipt/a2areplayreceipt-mcp. Platform teams, release owners and delivery reviewers are the ones who get mileage out of this.
What it helps with
- reproduce a failed agent call and find the step that broke
- sort agent errors into types instead of reading raw logs
- get a retry plan after a failed run
- produce a replay receipt a reviewer can check
- export the failure log in structured form
Example prompts for the agent
- Replay the failed agent call with
replay_a2a_failureand show me which step broke - Classify the error from the last run and suggest a retry plan
- Issue a replay receipt for this failure and export the log
