I dispute how the account was created and how identity information came to be associated with it, as I did not complete the normal KYC process myself.Stake has still not explained who created the account, who supplied the identity data, what affiliate was linked to it, or what internal compliance checks were carried out.My subject access request has also passed its deadline without a complete response, meaning I still cannot establish the source of the disputed KYC information from Stake's own records.The matter has now been escalated to the ICO, the Curaçao data protection authority, the Curaçao Gaming Authority, the Ombudsman and the UK Gambling Commission. The full chronology and supporting evidence have also been provided to Rob Davies at The Guardian.After 30 days, the core issues remain unanswered: account creation, KYC, affiliate involvement, internal compliance and the outstanding data request.Do yourself a favour, avoid at all costs.
