Google launched a suite of Gemini-powered tools across Google Ads and Google Analytics. The features include AI-driven data summaries on the home page, visual report generation through text prompts, and benchmarking against anonymised metrics from similar businesses.
AI Overviews in Google Analytics now surface a brief summary of key changes since the last login: traffic spikes, seasonal sales peaks, anomalies. Each card can be clicked to pass context to Ask Advisor, the built-in AI agent, for deeper analysis. Users can subscribe to email or phone alerts with adjustable frequency.
The Google Ads home page now displays personalised insight cards. A prompt field sits above the cards, allowing custom analysis requests such as how competitors affect impression share. The Dashboards feature, already live in Google Ads and coming soon to Analytics, builds visual reports from text queries. Each report comes with a real-time explanation of the figures and what they mean.
Benchmarking through Ask Advisor in Google Analytics compares campaign results against averaged data from similar businesses. The comparison is anonymous and helps identify growth opportunities.
Kevin Marshall, director of paid media at Gardyn, said Ask Advisor became his main tool for quick performance checks. The speed gives him time for deeper analysis and earlier strategy adjustments.
