Build your data strength with October’s Demand Gen drop.

Google has released its October update for Demand Gen, focused on data quality. Its internal analysis links fuller conversion signals to stronger returns, with advertisers using Google Tag Gateway seeing on average more than 20% uplift in conversions.

What is changing

Google Ads will show a Data Strength Uplift metric, tying reported conversions directly to the data setup. Data Manager is expanding to Display & Video 360 (DV360) and Google Analytics (GA) for connecting and managing first-party data. Enhanced conversions are coming to DV360 and GA. Measurement gets tighter.

Case and resources

Insurance platform The Zebra put the setup in place and reported a 16% rise in conversion volume and a 19% rise in total conversion value. Google has updated its Data Strength best practices guide, with further materials in the Demand Gen Drops Hub.

For media buyers the point is direct. Missed events mean weaker bidding. Check tagging and first-party data connections before launching new campaigns in DV360. The new metric also shows clients what the tracking work added.
