Registration Rules Set YouTube Masthead Access

Google will open YouTube Masthead, the video block on the service's home page, to online gambling operators from 21 October 2026. The placement was previously limited to betting operators and now extends to the remaining verticals.

Access goes to operators with mandatory state or national registration and certification under Google's Gambling and Games policy. Certification sits alongside local law, regional licensing terms and age limits. Checks cover advertisers and Manager Accounts (MCC), the agency accounts that run several clients. Repeat violations, or the loss of a certificate at MCC level, close off new certification applications. Certificates already issued can be annulled.

The move continues a tightening that began on 14 September 2026, when Google extended good policy health checks to every gambling category. Those checks were introduced in selected markets in March 2026.

Google has not published the list of jurisdictions. An operator holding a licence still cannot tell whether Masthead will be available in its market.
