wasm-agent — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Creates and manages isolated WebAssembly agents for running untrusted code safely without host filesystem access.
npx skills add ruvnet/ruflo --skill wasm-agent -a claude-codeWhat wasm-agent does
The skill configures and manages sandboxed WebAssembly agents through the ruflo-core MCP plugin. Because each agent executes entirely within a WASM sandbox, untrusted code cannot touch the host operating system or its files.
It covers the complete agent lifecycle. You can create instances with custom settings, send prompts, grant specific tools, and inspect files in sandbox storage. Running agents can be monitored or terminated when tasks finish. Configured agents can also be exported as portable packages for any standard WASM runtime.
Direct local filesystem access is blocked by design. Any data your agent needs must be loaded into the sandbox through the provided file management tools.
What it helps with
- run untrusted code in an isolated WebAssembly sandbox
- experiment with agent behaviors without risking host files
- manage files and tool access inside a sandboxed environment
- export configured agents for execution on external WASM runtimes
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a new WASM agent and show running instances
- Send a prompt to the sandboxed agent and inspect output files
- Terminate the running WASM agent

Questions about wasm-agent
How to install wasm-agent in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add ruvnet/ruflo --skill wasm-agent -a claude-code. The skill will be configured in ~/.claude/skills/wasm-agent/SKILL.md.
What does wasm-agent do?
It provisions isolated agents running inside WebAssembly. This lets you execute untrusted scripts and test agent interactions safely.
Can the WASM agent modify host files?
No, agents operate in full isolation and cannot reach your host filesystem. File operations are restricted entirely to the internal sandbox storage.
