tech-marketing-framework — Claude Code skill: dev tool marketing
Turns Claude and Codex into a senior product marketer for developer tools: content, messaging and campaigns from ready templates.
npx skills add reason-machines/marketing-skills --skill tech-marketing-framework -a claude-codeWhat tech-marketing-framework does
The skill gives your agent a product marketer role for technical products. It ships voice rules that put technical accuracy ahead of ad copy, writing and formatting standards, and template docs for a product brief, personas, competitive intel and messaging. Separate workflows generate the actual assets: social posts, email sequences, ad copy, sales decks, blog posts, an editorial calendar and Product Hunt launch material.
Fill in docs/inputs/ before the first run: product_brief.md, target_personas.md, competitor_intel.md, testimonials.md. The brief expects a product name, the problem it solves, key capabilities, the audience and a value proposition. Personas need a role, pain points, goals, preferred channels and technical level. Skip this step and the output stays generic, because the skill has nothing to ground it in.
You call it with slash commands in Claude, or with $ and plain English in Codex. There are subagents for reviewing assets and auditing ads, plus an autonomous mode that tunes skills through binary evals. Generated files land in output/ under social/, blog/, email/, ads/, decks/, images/ and research/. One hard rule: email sequences accept only real links and customers listed in testimonials.md, so without approved quotes that sequence will not come together.
What it helps with
- build a messaging and positioning foundation for a dev tool
- write LinkedIn and Twitter/X posts tuned to each platform
- draft a follow-up email sequence after a conference
- produce ad copy for Google, Meta and LinkedIn
- assemble a B2B sales narrative deck using April Dunford's method
Example prompts for the agent

- Generate social posts from this feature announcement
