rustyseo-toolkit — Claude Code skill: crawling and SEO analysis
This skill wires a free SEO/GEO toolkit built on Tauri and Rust into your agent: unlimited site crawls, Nginx and Apache log parsing, data exports.
npx skills add reason-machines/marketing-skills --skill rustyseo-toolkit -a claude-codeWhat rustyseo-toolkit does
The skill documents RustySEO, an app written in Tauri, Rust, Next.js and TypeScript. Your agent gets ready-made flows: a shallow crawl of a single page, a deep crawl with a page cap and a delay between requests, server log parsing, and collection of SEO metrics such as title, meta description, headings, canonical, Open Graph tags and structured data. Everything runs locally; cloud connectors are optional.
From logs the agent pulls bot traffic, crawl frequency, 404 and 500 pages, and the most visited URLs. Crawl results export to CSV, Excel, PDF and Google Sheets, and there is topic generation plus keyword clustering through Gemini or Ollama. Connectors need keys: GOOGLE_PAGESPEED_API_KEY, GOOGLE_GEMINI_API_KEY, and the OAuth pair GOOGLE_GSC_CLIENT_ID and GOOGLE_GSC_CLIENT_SECRET for Search Console and GA4.
The terminal mode installs separately: clone RustySEO-Headless and run cargo build --release. The desktop build ships as .msi for Windows, .dmg for macOS, .AppImage or .deb for Linux. No Gemini key means no topic generation and no clustering, since both go through API connectors.
What it helps with
- crawl a whole site and collect meta tags from every page
- parse access.log and surface pages returning 404
- export crawl results to CSV or Excel
- build keyword clusters from a raw query list
- cross-check Search Console data against your own crawl
Example prompts for the agent
- run a deep crawl of example.com and list pages missing meta descriptions
- parse /var/log/nginx/access.log for January and count Googlebot traffic
- generate 10 topics for the seed "organic gardening tips" with Gemini

What do the connectors need to work?
