sumsub-create-cross-check-preset — Claude Code skill
Creates and edits Sumsub cross-check presets, the rules that decide how names and addresses on POI and POA documents are compared. Useful when the shipped defaults do not fit.
npx skills add sumsub/agent-skills --skill sumsub-create-cross-check-preset -a claude-codeWhat sumsub-create-cross-check-preset does
The skill drives the public Sumsub API. POST and PATCH /resources/api/agent/crossCheckPresets write a preset, and GET /resources/api/agent/crossCheckPresets/{id} reads one back. Helper scripts do the work: build_cross_check_preset.py turns a compact spec on stdin into a request body, while post_cross_check_preset.sh, patch_cross_check_preset.sh and get_cross_check_preset.sh send it. The caller needs the manageClientSettings permission.
A preset picks nameComparisonMode and addressComparisonMode from a short list of values and can carry ignore-flags, such as skipping a middle-name mismatch. Only basic mode is available here. Advanced mode is off limits through the API: POST answers with 403 Forbidden, so it has to be configured in the dashboard.
You supply SUMSUB_APP_TOKEN and SUMSUB_SECRET_KEY. Sandbox tokens only — the scripts reject anything that does not start with sbx:. That guard matters, because a workspace-level preset changes every verification running on the account. One more thing to know: if a PoA preset carries its own crossValidator, that block wins for the documents it handles.
What it helps with
- require an exact name match between POI and POA
- allow fuzzy matching on addresses
- stop flagging a middle-name difference as a mismatch
- build the request body for a new preset
- read an existing preset and show the diff before editing
Example prompts for the agent
- Switch name comparison to strict and create a cross-check preset
- Allow fuzzy address matching in the cross-check rules
- Ignore middle-name mismatches and build a minimal preset
