What rodeo does

The tool is a Go CLI built to communicate with https://mcp.meme.rodeo. It handles meme lookups by keyword, pulls specific entries by ID, lists fresh uploads, and retrieves general catalog metrics.

It runs in two distinct modes. You can execute direct queries using rodeo call or launch a persistent stdio server via rodeo serve. Registering that command inside .mcp.json makes tools like search_memes, random_memes, and meme_stats accessible to agents.

Running queries without building the binary or passing an API key triggers an immediate failure. Authentication prioritizes the --api-key flag and RODEO_API_KEY before checking OAuth tokens or ~/.config/rodeo/config.yaml.
