What personal-branding does

The skill splits personal branding into seven phases that run in order. It opens by asking whether you are starting from scratch or auditing a presence you already have. Pick the audit path and it jumps to phase six, the content alignment check, then loops back to fill the gaps. Every phase collects input through conversation, one question at a time, and hands a deliverable to the next one.

Here is what comes out along the way: a one-sentence brand promise plus three themes you stand for; a competitor scan that maps the white space in your field; a voice defined in four words, with sample lines you would write and lines you never would; a psychographic profile of your reader; one signature story capped at 150 words; an audit of your recent posts and a three-level messaging hierarchy. The final step merges all of it into a Brand Strategy Document.

When you hand over profile or post URLs, the skill pulls the text with agent-browser. No links? Paste bios and posts as plain text instead. Each phase ends with a deliverable you have to approve before the next one starts, so nothing runs ahead of you.

What it helps with

  • write a one-sentence promise for your personal brand
  • map the white space in your field after scanning competitors
  • define a voice strict enough to filter future posts
  • see what a stranger would assume your brand is from your last ten posts
  • turn a career turning point into a finished post

Example prompts for the agent

  • Help me build a personal brand from scratch, start with phase one
  • Here are profile links for five people in my field — compare them and show me the white space
  • Audit my recent posts: which ones support my positioning and which ones pull away from it

What do I need for the skill to review my posts and competitor profiles?

Profile or post URLs — it scrapes the text from them with agent-browser. You can skip the links and paste bios and posts as text.
