What discovery-interview-prep does

The skill initiates an interactive prep flow asking up to four targeted questions. First, it requests context like product assumptions and churn feedback. Based on what you provide, it selects an interview approach such as Jobs-to-be-Done, problem validation, or retention review.

It produces a customized guide featuring direct questions, risk warnings against leading prompts, and clear success criteria. Completing the prep takes 15 to 20 minutes. If you already understand the core pain point and plan to test a clickable prototype, this tool is redundant.

The workflow focuses on qualitative interviews with 5 to 10 customers. It does not replace quantitative surveys.

What it helps with

  • structure a qualitative customer discovery interview plan
  • investigate churn patterns among enterprise accounts
  • formulate Jobs-to-be-Done interview questions for early concepts
  • eliminate leading questions and confirmation bias from interview guides

Example prompts for the agent

  • Help me prepare discovery sessions regarding recent account cancellations
  • Design an interview plan to validate a B2B SaaS concept before building
  • Structure five user calls to investigate drop-offs on the checkout flow
