c-tracking — Claude Code skill: track UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL packages
A skill that lets your coding agent look up package status for UPS, FedEx, USPS and DHL through the ordercli CLI, no carrier sites involved.
npx skills add daxaur/openpaw --skill c-tracking -a claude-codeWhat c-tracking does
The skill wires ordercli into your agent so it can pull tracking data on demand. Give it a tracking number and it reports the current status, the last known location and the estimated delivery date. Carrier detection happens automatically, and --carrier forces a specific one when that guess is wrong.
Commands cover the usual cases: ordercli track <number> for a single parcel, ordercli track --history <number> for the full event timeline, and several numbers in one call. Supported carriers are ups, fedex, usps and dhl. When auto-detection fails, the skill asks you to name the carrier yourself.
Tracking numbers have to match exactly — spaces and dashes break the lookup unless the carrier format includes them. Carriers sometimes lag on scans, so what you see is the most recent one. Without ordercli installed, the skill has nothing to call.
What it helps with
- check where a package is right now
- get an estimated delivery date
- pull the full scan history for a shipment
- look up several tracking numbers at once
- figure out which carrier owns a tracking number
Example prompts for the agent
- Track package 1Z999AA10123456784
- Show the full history for 9400111899223397623472
- Check these two shipments: 1Z999AA10123456784 and 123456789012

--- name: c-tracking description: Track packages across UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL using the `ordercli` CLI. Look up tracking numbers, get current status, estimated delivery dates, and shipment history without visiting carrier websites. tags: [tracking, shipping, packages, ups, fedex, usps, dhl, delivery] --- ## What This Skill Does Uses `ordercli` to look up package tracking information across all major carriers. Returns current status, location, and estimated delivery without opening a browser. ## CLI Tool: `ordercli` ### Common Commands ```bash # Track a package (carrier auto-detected) ordercli track 1Z999AA10123456784 # Specify carrier explicitly ordercli track --carrier ups 1Z999AA10123456784 ordercli track --carrier fedex 123456789012 ordercli track --carrier usps 9400111899223397623472 ordercli track --carrier dhl 1234567890 # Get full shipment history/events ordercli track --history 1Z999AA10123456784 # Track multiple packages ordercli track 1Z999AA10123456784 9400111899223397623472 ``` ### Supported Carriers `ups`, `fedex`, `usps`, `dhl` ## Usage Guidelines 1. If the user provides a tracking number, attempt auto-detection first before specifying a carrier. 2. Show: current status, last known location, and estimated delivery date. 3. If tracking fails or carrier is unrecognized, ask the user to confirm the carrier name. 4. Use `--history` when the user asks for a full timeline of events. ## Notes - Tracking numbers must be exact — no spaces or dashes unless the carrier format requires them. - Some carriers have delayed updates; results reflect the last carrier scan.
