c-speakers — Claude Code skill for Sonos control
Control Sonos playback, volume, and room groups through the sonos CLI. Use it to manage speakers by asking your coding agent.
npx skills add daxaur/openpaw --skill c-speakers -a claude-codeWhat c-speakers does
The skill sends Sonos commands through sonos. An agent can find rooms, start or stop playback, skip tracks, change volume, and check what is playing. It can also join rooms into a group, separate them, or play a favorite saved in the Sonos app.
Each command needs a --room argument to target the right speaker. Run sonos rooms to find room names. The sonos CLI (sonoscli) must be installed, and the Sonos system must be on the local network. Favorites need to be set up in the Sonos app before the skill can play them.
What it helps with
- start or pause Sonos playback in a chosen room
- set a speaker’s volume to a specific level
- skip to the next or previous track
- join rooms into a group or separate them
- play a Sonos favorite in a selected room
Example prompts for the agent
- List the Sonos rooms and start playback in the living room.
- Lower the kitchen speaker’s volume by 5.
- Play the “Morning Jazz” favorite in the bedroom.
