What blogwatcher does

The skill hands the agent a blogwatcher CLI that keeps a list of blogs and feeds, scans them and reports new articles. The agent runs the commands itself: blogwatcher add "My Blog" https://example.com adds a source, blogwatcher blogs lists what is tracked, blogwatcher scan looks for updates, blogwatcher articles prints what was found.

Read state lives in the same CLI. blogwatcher read 1 closes one article, blogwatcher read-all closes everything, and blogwatcher remove "My Blog" drops a source. Extra flags are discoverable with blogwatcher <command> --help.

The skill needs the blogwatcher binary on PATH — without it the commands simply fail. Install it from the Go module with go install github.com/Hyaxia/blogwatcher/cmd/blogwatcher@latest, so a working Go toolchain comes first.

What it helps with

  • keep every blog and feed in one list across sessions
  • scan sources and see what was published since last time
  • mark articles read so they stop showing up
  • drop a blog you no longer follow
  • list the articles collected per source

Example prompts for the agent

  • Add the xkcd blog at https://xkcd.com and show me what's tracked
  • Scan all blogs and tell me how many new articles came in
  • Mark article 1 as read
