npx skills add daxaur/openpaw --skill c-email -a claude-codeWhat c-email does
This skill teaches the coding agent how to handle mailboxes using external command-line utilities. For Google accounts, it relies on gog. That enables search queries with Gmail syntax, label assignments, and thread inspection via gog mail thread. For standard IMAP providers, it switches to himalaya to list folders, forward messages, and archive mail.
The skill contains no built-in client. You must have gog or himalaya installed locally, which you can verify with which gog himalaya. Prior authentication is mandatory: gog needs OAuth authorization configured via gog auth, while himalaya reads your account details from ~/.config/himalaya/config.toml.
What it helps with
- search Gmail messages using filters like is:unread or has:attachment
- read full conversation threads directly inside the agent session
- send new emails and replies through gog or himalaya
- sort messages into IMAP folders or manage Gmail labels
Example prompts for the agent
- Search Gmail for unread messages with subject report
- Read the message thread with ID 18e3a2b4 using gog
- Send a reply to message 42 via himalaya using body.txt
