before-after-ad — Claude Code skill: before-and-after ads
A Claude skill that turns a product brief into a before-and-after ad concept and shot script, with the comparison tied to approved claims.
npx skills add PostPlusAI/postplus-skills --skill before-after-ad -a claude-codeWhat before-after-ad does
The skill walks the agent through four steps. It first locks the brief: starting state, desired result, pressure carrier, approved proof and the boundary of what may be claimed. Then it picks one proof route — direct comparison, discovery through an external trigger, or a routine montage of repeated use. Output is a Before-After Grammar Plan, a shot table and a Production Locks block covering persona, product, scene and audio.
The shot table has fixed columns: time | visual | framing/composition | camera motion | action | sound | subtitle/text | proof duty | purpose. One action per shot. Captions, arrows, split-screen assembly and disclaimers count as post-production elements, not generated scene content. After the script the skill asks for approval and stops; it moves on only when you say so.
Feed it raw reference videos and it routes them through media-analysis first, because it will not guess a style from a filename or a single frame. For persona, product lifestyle and matched before/after images it hands off to image-batch-runner; renders go to video-batch-runner. A requested result or timeline that exceeds the approved claim boundary halts the run. Worth knowing before you start.
What it helps with
- build a before-and-after shot script with matched frames
- check that the comparison rests on approved claims
- break a reference video into reusable camera and edit moves
- lock persona, product and scene before generation
- hand an approved script to a render pipeline without a second brief
Example prompts for the agent
- Build a Before-After Grammar Plan for a skincare ad: baseline, use, result.
- Review my shot script for honest comparison and claim boundaries.
- Direction approved — hand the script to image-batch-runner for matched frames.
