Zvid — Claude Code MCP server for video and images
Zvid connects an agent to tools for building videos and images from JSON projects. Use it to validate a draft before approving a render.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.zvid.io/mcpWhat Zvid does
The MCP server helps an agent plan a project, find assets, assemble its JSON payload, and check for errors or layout warnings. Once the project passes validation, the agent can save a draft. Creating media does not spend credits; rendering requires a user-approved signed quote.
Projects can also become reusable templates with variables and safe default values. The Creator profile rejects create_media and revise_media requests without a complete payload, so a brief alone is not enough to create media. Connect to the hosted service with OAuth or an API key. Local stdio requires an API key and Node.js 18 or later.
What it helps with
- build a video or image from a JSON project
- validate a layout and fix warnings before saving a draft
- turn a project into a reusable parameterized template
- request a render after approving its signed quote
Example prompts for the agent
- Build a video from this JSON project, validate it, and save a draft for review.
- Prepare an image project and fix any validation errors or layout warnings before saving.
- Save this project as a template with variables, then render it after I approve the quote.
