What yuna0x0-hackmd-mcp does

This server connects coding assistants to the HackMD API. It provides tools for reading markdown notes by identifier, updating draft text, and listing personal files. It supports history lookups.

The toolset covers shared team spaces as well. You can inspect member groups, fetch group notes, and create team drafts during coding sessions. It supports STDIO launches via npx or standalone HTTP serving on port 8081. Running it requires Node.js 18. Without a valid HACKMD_API_TOKEN, every tool call fails immediately.

What it helps with

  • retrieve notes and drafts by identifier
  • publish team notes directly from chat
  • inspect recent account reading history
  • update markdown documents without opening a browser

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show my personal notes from HackMD
  • Create a team note about the sprint and add discussion points
  • Fetch the contents of note note_id
