Xahau MCP — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Executes Xahau WebAssembly smart contracts in an offline virtual machine and audits Hook bytecode without running a blockchain node.
claude mcp add --env XAHAU_RPC_URLS=<XAHAU_RPC_URLS> --env XAHAU_TEST_RPC_URLS=<XAHAU_TEST_RPC_URLS> --transport stdio xahau-mcp -- npx -y xahau-mcpWhat Xahau MCP does
This MCP server equips AI assistants with tools for interacting with the Xahau ledger. At its center sits a standalone WebAssembly engine that runs compiled Hook bytecode locally, eliminating any need for a full xahaud node. It inspects contract binaries with a dedicated static rule set, flagging unhandled loops and missing exit paths before deployment.
Developers can preview how ledger updates unfold. The simulate_transaction tool tests unsigned payloads against live state, while what_if replays historical operations under adjusted parameters. It also decodes the HookOn bitmask and computes network reward balances. Operators can run diagnostics on Evernode infrastructure.
Network access is strictly read-only. The server contains neither signing logic nor submission endpoints. All transaction builders return raw unsigned payloads, so private keys remain strictly offline.
What it helps with
- Execute compiled WebAssembly Hooks locally without running a node
- Detect vulnerabilities and missing exits via static binary analysis
- Simulate transaction execution against active ledger state
- Inspect Evernode host health and accrued network reward balances
Example prompts for the agent
- Audit this
hook.wasmfile with the static engine and highlight flaws. - Simulate an unsigned transaction for address
r...to check Hook execution. - Check reward eligibility and claim timing for account

Questions about Xahau MCP
How to install Xahau MCP in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add xahau-mcp -- npx -y xahau-mcp in your terminal.
Is a running xahaud node needed for Hook simulation?
No, a local node is unnecessary. The server embeds its own WebAssembly virtual machine to run Hook bytecode directly on your computer.
Can Xahau MCP sign or broadcast transactions?
No, the server operates strictly in read-only mode. It outputs unsigned transaction payloads for offline signing and holds no private keys.
