Transcripted — Claude Code MCP server for searching notes
Give an AI read-only access to search and open notes saved by Transcripted. Useful for finding decisions or follow-ups from past meetings.
Open on GitHubWhat Transcripted does
Transcripted’s MCP server lets an AI search meetings, dictation, and writing saved in the Transcripted Mac app, then read matching notes. Its tools cannot edit or delete those files. The app stores notes as Markdown.
To connect it, open Transcripted, go to Agent, and select Connect beside Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor. For another AI app, copy the ready-made setup prompt from Something else. Transcripted itself requires a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26 Tahoe or later, so it won’t run on other systems.
What it helps with
- search meeting notes for decisions
- check which follow-up tasks you agreed to
- read a Transcripted note through an AI assistant
- find what a past meeting covered
Example prompts for the agent
- Search my Transcripted notes for what I agreed to do after the launch meeting.
- Look through my meeting notes for decisions about the schedule.
- Read my latest product review notes and list the open follow-up questions.
