The App Stores Cooolest API — Claude Code MCP server
An MCP server for App Store Connect operations across app metadata, pricing, signing, builds, and sales reports. Useful when an agent needs to handle release data.
Open on GitHubWhat The App Stores Cooolest API does
The App Stores Cooolest API exposes App Store Connect work through an MCP server. An agent can inspect apps, versions, builds, pre-release versions, review submissions, bundle IDs, localizations, and screenshots. It also covers territory pricing, certificates, provisioning profiles, local RSA keys, CSRs, and sales data delivered as compressed TSV.
The Rust project is split into eight crates. A shared core handles JWT authentication, HTTP requests, JSON:API envelopes, and errors, while domain crates add metadata, pricing, signing, and reporting operations. The MCP side communicates over stdio, and the CLI shares operations with it. Connection requires an App Store Connect API key, issuer ID, and private-key path through ASC_API_KEY, ASC_ISSUER_ID, and ASC_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH. Calls to App Store Connect fail without those credentials.
What it helps with
- inspect app versions and builds
- edit App Store Connect metadata
- compare territory prices and currencies
- create signing material and CSRs
- retrieve sales data as TSV
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the app's versions and builds in App Store Connect, then flag the ones that need attention.
- Compare the app's territory prices and show their linked price points and currencies.
- Fetch the sales report and describe the columns in the returned TSV file.
