Tengence GEO Agent — Claude Code MCP server: setup guide
Content pipeline MCP server that plans, audits, and publishes articles to WordPress while tracking AI search visibility. Built for multi-site workflows.
claude mcp add --env SITES_ROOT=<SITES_ROOT> --env TENGENCE_GEO_HOME=<TENGENCE_GEO_HOME> --env DB_DRIVER=<DB_DRIVER> --transport stdio tengence-geo-agent -- npx -y @tengence/geo-mcpWhat Tengence GEO Agent does
The @tengence/geo-mcp package exposes 29 tools covering article drafting, gate checks, image management, and WordPress publishing. Articles pass through automated checks before live deployment, ensuring compliance with structured editorial rules. Communication works over stdio or HTTP streaming.
Default persistence uses a single-file SQLite database that initializes automatically on first run. Teams needing external infrastructure can switch to MySQL tables under the dedicated tengence_geo_* prefix.
The HTTP transport will fail without a valid GEO_MCP_TOKEN bearer secret. Each managed site holds its credentials and WordPress access tokens in a local .env file under SITES_ROOT.
What it helps with
- run automated gate checks on markdown drafts before publication
- deploy reviewed content and media directly to WordPress
- submit newly published URLs to search engines
- track content visibility across generative search engines
Example prompts for the agent
- Run gate checks on
hello-geo.mdfor target sitemy-site - Push the approved article draft directly to the connected WordPress site
- Check search submission and index status for
my-site
