storeshots-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: install
Builds App Store and Google Play screenshots from app screens, copy, and layout settings. Useful when store assets need several sizes or languages.
claude mcp add storeshots-mcp -- npx -y storeshots-mcpWhat storeshots-mcp does
storeshots-mcp turns raw app screens into store listing images for App Store and Google Play. It places screens in device frames, adds headlines and branded backgrounds, then renders the required dimensions. A storeshots.json file defines languages, presets, screen paths, and copy.
The MCP server can expose the renderer to an agent, while the same package provides a CLI. storeshots init creates the config, storeshots build renders the set, and storeshots validate checks files against store rules. iOS and Android presets, localized headlines, and a preview strip are supported. Rendering is local and deterministic, so a changed file can be redrawn on its own.
Node.js 18 or newer is required. No API keys are needed, but the MCP client must be able to run npx.
What it helps with
- build App Store and Google Play listing images
- place app screens inside device frames
- prepare headlines in several languages
- check output against store requirements
- assemble a preview strip from rendered images
Example prompts for the agent
- Create
storeshots.jsonfrom the files inscreenshots/, with English and Turkish headlines. - Render iOS and Android versions from
storeshots.jsonusing background#E31837. - Validate the files in
output/against App Store and Google Play rules.
