While the editor window is open, it answers MCP requests at http://127.0.0.1:7878/mcp; starting it with newera serve skips the window. Agents in Claude, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini CLI, Zed or Cline call its tools, and each edit lands on the plan and in the 3D view at once, one Ctrl+Z away.
A hosted endpoint at https://mcp.3dneweraai.com/mcp works from a chat client with email sign-in, and projects live in your account. In a browser tab, MCP is switched on from the **AI** panel with Ctrl+Shift+M; a small relay carries messages between the tab and your client and keeps none of them. The tab's address stops answering once you close it, so guard it like a password. Video rendering stays out of the tab — no one wants it locked for minutes.
Plain downloads are unsigned, so the OS asks once on first launch: SmartScreen on Windows, or the privacy settings route on macOS. The one-line installers avoid that dialog. A Linux tarball also ships, with a script that adds the menu entry and the .newera file type.
