mcp · slickfast — Claude Code MCP server for charts and pages
Turn JSON specs into charts, dashboards, or pages. Use it when an agent needs to render a visual and save it locally or publish it.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.slickfast.com/mcpWhat mcp does
mcp takes a JSON spec and renders charts, dashboards, and pages. The project lists 47 chart types, including scientific plots such as scatter and survival charts. Rendering the same spec produces the same bytes. Images are made as SVG and PNG without a headless browser.
In Claude Code, connect the server over HTTP or run it locally with npx. Local rendering works without an API key. Publishing a page and getting a permanent URL require an SF- key; published pages can later be found with my_pages. That distinction matters: local rendering does not grant access to page publishing.
Available MCP tools include get_started, news, gallery, and render_chart; pages use render_page and publish_page. To keep a page on disk, retain its JSON spec. Running the local option with npx requires Node.js and npm.
What it helps with
- render a chart from a JSON spec
- assemble a dashboard from several charts
- create a scientific plot
- save a page spec as JSON
- publish a page and get its URL
Example prompts for the agent
- Render a chart from this JSON spec with
render_chart. - Show chart examples with
gallery, then build a dashboard from my description. - Render this page with
render_pageand keep its JSON spec.
