simplelogin-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: manage SimpleLogin aliases
MCP server for creating and managing SimpleLogin email aliases, domains, and routing from compatible MCP clients.
claude mcp add --env TRANSPORT=<TRANSPORT> --env SL_API_KEY=<SL_API_KEY> --env SL_API_URL=<SL_API_URL> --env SL_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS=<SL_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS> --transport stdio simplelogin-mcp -- docker run -i --rm -e TRANSPORT -e SL_API_KEY -e SL_API_URL -e SL_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS ghcr.io/enthouan/simplelogin-mcp:1.0.4What simplelogin-mcp does
Runs locally via stdio or as a persistent HTTP service in Docker Compose. Exposes a tool catalog: random and custom alias creation (alias_create_random, alias_create_custom), activity inspection (alias_activity_list), reverse-alias management for sending (contact_create), mailbox and domain operations, account settings. Read operations are bounded, and permanent deletions require explicit confirm: true.
For stdio, clone the repo, build with pnpm build, point the client config at dist/index.js, and set TRANSPORT=stdio and SL_API_KEY. For Docker Compose, copy .env.example to .env, fill SL_API_KEY and MCP_AUTH_TOKEN, run docker compose up -d. By default, the HTTP port binds only to 127.0.0.1. Without a SimpleLogin API key, the server won't start.
What it helps with
- create a SimpleLogin email alias from your IDE
- inspect forwarding and blocking activity for an alias
- create a reverse alias for sending through a specific mailbox
- manage routing, domains, and account settings via MCP
- run a local MCP server for SimpleLogin via Docker or stdio
Example prompts for the agent
- Show all my SimpleLogin aliases
- Create a random alias for signing up on a site
- Check activity for alias

Questions about simplelogin-mcp
How do I install simplelogin-mcp in Claude Code?
Run `claude mcp add --env TRANSPORT=<TRANSPORT> --env SL_API_KEY=<SL_API_KEY> --env SL_API_URL=<SL_API_URL> --env SL_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS=<SL_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS> --transport stdio simplelogin-mcp -- docker run -i --rm -e TRANSPORT -e SL_API_KEY -e SL_API_URL -e SL_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS ghcr.io/enthouan/simplelogin-mcp:1.0.4`. Replace placeholders with your values.
What does simplelogin-mcp do?
Gives MCP clients access to the SimpleLogin API: creating and managing aliases, inspecting forwarding activity, working with reverse aliases, mailboxes, domains, and account settings. Runs locally via stdio or HTTP.
Why does Docker Compose need MCP_AUTH_TOKEN?
The HTTP server inside the container binds 0.0.0.0, so a token is required to secure access. Without it, the server refuses to start. The stdio transport doesn't need a token.
