Seedance by Ace Data Cloud — Claude Code MCP server: how to install
Runs ByteDance Seedance AI video generation via Ace Data Cloud. Useful when you need to render video clips or poll task progress straight from an AI agent.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp-seedance https://seedance.mcp.acedata.cloud/mcpWhat Seedance by Ace Data Cloud does
The server routes prompt requests into ByteDance Seedance using the Ace Data Cloud platform. When a video render starts, it handles the job asynchronously and lets you retrieve the finished video using the initial task ID.
Connecting works over remote HTTP or a local process. You can point your client to https://seedance.mcp.acedata.cloud/mcp using OAuth sign-in, send an API token via HTTP headers, or launch uvx mcp-seedance locally. Running the local process requires Python 3.10 or higher.
Every video render deducts credits from your AceDataCloud account balance. Configuring both OAuth authentication and a fixed Authorization header on the same server entry causes conflicts, so use only one authentication path.
What it helps with
- generate videos from text prompts using ByteDance Seedance
- track asynchronous video rendering progress by task ID
- retrieve finished video assets directly inside your coding client
Example prompts for the agent
- Generate a short video of a rainy city street using Seedance
- Check the video rendering status for task ID 849204
