secondhand-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: search used items
Search Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Depop, and Poshmark for secondhand goods, then narrow results by price, condition, size, or other filters.
claude mcp add --env EBAY_CLIENT_ID=<EBAY_CLIENT_ID> --env EBAY_CLIENT_SECRET=<EBAY_CLIENT_SECRET> --env EBAY_MARKETPLACE_ID=<EBAY_MARKETPLACE_ID> --transport stdio secondhand-mcp -- npx -y secondhand-mcpWhat secondhand-mcp does
This MCP server searches Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Depop, and Poshmark. Filter listings by price, category, condition, size, or color, then request more information about a result using its listing ID. Facebook searches can also use a city and radius.
eBay searches need API credentials. Depop and Poshmark rely on Chrome or Chromium; if neither browser is available, those two sources are skipped while the others can still run. That matters if either marketplace is central to your search. Use the MARKETPLACES environment variable to choose which sources are active.
What it helps with
- search for secondhand goods across several marketplaces
- filter listings by price and condition
- narrow Facebook results by city and radius
- retrieve more information using a listing ID
Example prompts for the agent
- Find used bicycles under 200 dollars across the available marketplaces.
- Search Depop and Poshmark for jackets in size M.
- Look for items on Facebook Marketplace near San Francisco within 25 miles.
