Scalix Cloud — MCP server for Claude Code: 51 cloud tools
A hosted MCP server that lets an agent run databases, functions, storage and billing on Scalix World with a single API key.
claude mcp add --transport http scalix-cloud https://api.scalix.world/v1/mcpWhat Scalix Cloud does
Scalix Cloud is the official MCP server for Scalix World. There is nothing to install locally: the agent talks to https://api.scalix.world/v1/mcp and gets 51 tools spread over 17 domains — databases, compute, functions, storage, auth, AI, DNS and billing. One key covers all of it, and you can scope that key to chosen services, projects and actions.
What the agent can actually do: spin up Postgres-compatible databases that scale to zero, branch them copy-on-write to rehearse a migration and then promote or drop the branch, deploy container services and serverless functions into isolated microVMs. It also reads logs and metrics and checks remaining credits, so cost decisions come from the same key it deploys with.
Deletes, production changes and spending past budget caps pause for human approval. Those guardrails live in the platform rather than in a wrapper script. Claude users get a plugin bundling the 51 tools, 4 skills and a /scalix:setup command that connects the server and verifies it. Grab the key in the Scalix World console under API Keys.
What it helps with
- provision a Postgres-compatible database for a new service
- test a migration on a copy-on-write branch before promoting it
- deploy a serverless function into an isolated microVM
- read logs and remaining credits before a deploy
- give an agent cloud access scoped to specific services
Example prompts for the agent
- Connect Scalix and verify it with
/scalix:setup - Branch the production database and run the migration there
- Show me the credit usage and logs from the last deploy

Questions about Scalix Cloud
How do I install Scalix Cloud in Claude Code?
Through the plugin marketplace: run claude plugin marketplace add scalixworld/scalix-cloud-mcp, then claude plugin install scalix@scalix. Afterwards run /scalix:setup to connect and verify the server.
What does Scalix Cloud do?
It gives an agent access to the Scalix World platform: databases, compute, functions, storage, auth, AI, DNS and billing across 51 tools in 17 domains. Everything runs through one API key.
Do I need an API key, and what can it be limited to?
Yes — requests carry Authorization: Bearer <key>. The key can be scoped to specific services, projects and actions, and risky operations such as deletes or spending past budget caps wait for human approval.
