resonite-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: setup
This MCP server connects an AI assistant to Resonite for natural-language control of avatars, worlds, objects, and sessions.
Open on GitHubWhat resonite-mcp does
resonite-mcp links an AI assistant with the Resonite social VR platform. Chat commands can load worlds, switch active slots, adjust avatar tracking, inspect online contacts, and read chat history. The server can also search an inventory database and spawn selected assets into the current world.
A web dashboard covers connection status, the world node tree, and a visual gallery. Its room builder creates a furnished space from a form, sending each item through ResoniteLink and producing a build report. Resonite must be running with ResoniteLink enabled; otherwise session control will not work.
The project uses Python 3.12+ and FastMCP. Start the dashboard with just bootstrap followed by just serve. Clients using stdio can launch it with python -m resonite_mcp --stdio and PYTHONPATH=src.
What it helps with
- control a Resonite world from chat
- tune avatar tracking settings
- spawn inventory assets into a session
- inspect contacts and chat history
- assemble a furnished room from presets
Example prompts for the agent
- Load a Resonite world and report the current session state.
- Search the inventory for an object and place it in the active world.
- Check eye tracking and adjust the avatar's tracking smoothing.
