What RegAI Legal MCP (Taiwan) does

The server is hosted at https://mcp.regai.tw/mcp and speaks Streamable HTTP. Nine tools come with it. You can look up articles by legal concept or keyword, resolve a law name, pull the exact text of one article by number along with its official English translation where available, see a law's chapter and section outline, or fetch a whole statute as Markdown. A second group covers court decisions: relevance-ranked search by fact pattern, literal-phrase search that reports the exact total, full text by jid, and search across Grand Chamber (大法庭) rulings.

Coverage comes from the Ministry of Justice national law database and an apex tier of Judicial Yuan decisions — the Supreme Court, Supreme Administrative Court, Constitutional Court, Disciplinary Court and Intellectual Property and Commercial Court. District and high court decisions are outside it. Council of Grand Justices Interpretations (釋字第1–813號) and Constitutional Court judgments (憲判字) arrive through the same decision tools; open one in full with get_decision_details using its jid or a reference like 釋字第812號.

Queries and law names go in Traditional Chinese. Ask in English and the assistant translates, but the wording that reaches the search index is still Chinese, so how well the model renders your concept decides the result. Connection uses OAuth 2.1 and a free RegAI account, no API key.

What it helps with

  • pull one Taiwan statute article by number with its official English text
  • map a code's chapters, sections and articles
  • find apex-court decisions matching a fact pattern
  • check whether a Grand Chamber ruling settled a split interpretation
  • count every decision containing an exact phrase

Example prompts for the agent

  • Find Supreme Court decisions on tort damages in Taiwan.
  • Show me the structure of Taiwan's Labor Standards Act: chapters, sections, articles.

What does RegAI Legal MCP (Taiwan) do?

It connects your assistant to Taiwan's statutes and apex-court decisions: article search by concept, exact article text by number, a law's outline, and decision search by facts or literal phrase. Every tool reads public data only.

Do I need an API key?

Not if your app supports sign-in — OAuth 2.1 with a RegAI account is enough. A key from the account page is for apps that only accept a URL or header, sent as Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY or appended to the URL.
