What Pirate Ship by Cotlet does

Pirate Ship by Cotlet exposes shipping operations through MCP, a local REST API, and a Python interface. Agents can retrieve USPS and UPS rates, prepare label drafts, access shipment and tracking details, generate SCAN Forms, and work with reports. The package also includes ready-to-run Python scripts.

Local use requires Python 3.11 or later, Google Chrome 144+ signed in to Pirate Ship, and an account with a Ship From Address. Run pirate-ship-mcp connect to read session cookies through Chrome DevTools Protocol and save them in the user's configuration directory. The tool does not read the account password. Requests follow the GraphQL operations used by Pirate Ship's web app, so changes to those operations can break affected calls until their identifiers are updated.

The self-hosted project is licensed for noncommercial use. Operations that spend or refund money are excluded from this version. Label purchases take place in Pirate Ship itself and require an account balance or payment method. Supported MCP clients include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Zed, and Gemini CLI.
