PeepTrend — Claude Code MCP server: YouTube gaming trends
Surfaces Steam games on the rise and YouTube topics that are still open, so you can enter a niche before it gets crowded.
claude mcp add youtube-gaming-trend-finder -e PEEPTREND_API_KEY=<PEEPTREND_API_KEY> -- npx -y peeptrend-mcpWhat PeepTrend: YouTube Gaming Trend Finder does
This server hands the agent a set of research tools for a gaming creator. You can test a channel name and handle for clashes, run a video title against recent uploads and demand, and see how packed a YouTube shelf is for a given topic. Other tools look at a niche as a whole, at whether one game fits a channel, and at Steam updates that still leave room.
Thirteen tools ship in the package, from check_youtube_channel_name to send_opportunity_feedback. Most of the useful output depends on a key: sign up at PeepTrend, open your profile, create one under AI integrations, then expose it to the client as PEEPTREND_API_KEY. Public checks run without it but stay inside public limits, so feeds, full reports, saved plans and alerts sit behind the key. Revoke it from the profile if it leaks, and keep it out of version control.
npx -y peeptrend-mcp --doctor reports whether the connection is healthy. Reach for --stdio only when a client asks for the bare server process.
What it helps with
- test a channel name for conflicts before launch
- score a video title against demand and rivals
- see how saturated a gaming topic already is
- match a Steam title to a specific channel
- catch a Steam update window before others do
Example prompts for the agent
