What Ordkort does

Ordkort is a language-learning service with flashcards, a dictionary, grammar material and an explanatory translator for 60 languages. It includes ready-made decks covering 29 topics and levels A1–C1, FSRS-4.5 review scheduling, text reading with word lookup, and study statistics. Anki decks can move in or out as .apkg files, with CSV support as well.

The MCP server links an AI client with Ordkort so prompts can work with vocabulary, cards and learning material through the connected service. Claude Code needs the HTTP endpoint https://ordkort.com/mcp and this command: claude mcp add --transport http ordkort https://ordkort.com/mcp. Without that connection, the server is not available in the session.

What it helps with

  • build a deck for a topic and level
  • explain a word’s forms and meaning
  • clarify a grammar rule from a sentence
  • move a deck between Ordkort and Anki
  • mark unfamiliar words in a passage

Example prompts for the agent

  • Use Ordkort to build an A2 flashcard deck about travel.
  • Analyze the words in this passage, explain their forms, and add unfamiliar ones to a study deck.
  • Explain the grammar in this sentence and create review cards for its new vocabulary.
