On va où ? Routing API — Claude Code MCP server for routes
Find place coordinates and calculate routes around Europe for bikes, scooters, motorcycles, wheelchairs, or walking. Useful when an assistant needs route options with details.
claude mcp add --env OVO_API_KEY=<OVO_API_KEY> --env OVO_API_URL=<OVO_API_URL> --transport stdio on-va-ou-routing-api -- npx -y onvaou-itineraires-mcpWhat On va où ? Routing API does
The server exposes geocode_address to turn a place or address into coordinates, then compute_route to calculate a route between coordinates. Route requests can include waypoints and preferences such as avoiding stairs, tolls, or unpaved roads. Have a place name but no coordinates? Geocode it first.
Each tool returns a readable summary alongside JSON, plus an attribution string that should appear with any result you display. Coverage spans Europe. You need an OVO_API_KEY to use the service, and geocoding searches and routing requests draw on separate allowances. Both tools are read-only.
What it helps with
- look up coordinates for a station or address
- calculate a bike route between two places
- compare route options by road and surface details
- plan a walking or wheelchair route
Example prompts for the agent
- Find coordinates for Gare de Rennes, then plan a safe bike trip to Thabor park.
- Route between these coordinates for a wheelchair and avoid steps.
- Compare scooter routes and include cycle-lane share and turn instructions.
