OfflineCreator Studio — Claude Code MCP server: install and setup
Tools to produce images and videos using the Model Context Protocol over a remote OAuth endpoint or via a local stdio runner.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.offlinecreatorstudio.com/mcpWhat OfflineCreator Studio does
The server links AI coding assistants to media generation pipelines. Built-in tools let the assistant inspect credits via get_credits, retrieve available options through list_models, and dispatch creation jobs with generate. Additional helpers handle file uploads, poll task status with wait_generation, and retrieve finished assets with download_output.
Setup works in two ways. The primary method connects directly to https://mcp.offlinecreatorstudio.com/mcp, relying on client-managed OAuth tokens. A fallback stdio mode executes the @offlinecreator/mcp package with npx.
Running the local stdio command requires setting OFFLINECREATOR_API_KEY in your environment, or the process fails to start. The open-source repository supplies only the thin client and an authorization bridge, while model execution and account services reside on proprietary infrastructure.
What it helps with
- Trigger image and video rendering tasks directly from the assistant prompt
- Check current account credit balances via
get_credits - Monitor render progress and fetch finished media files with
download_output - View supported rendering models using
list_models
Example prompts for the agent
- Check my OfflineCreator Studio balance and list the active models
- Start a new video creation request with generate and monitor it until done
- Download the rendered file from the latest completed generation

Questions about OfflineCreator Studio
How to install OfflineCreator Studio in Claude Code?
Run this command in your terminal: claude mcp add --transport http offlinecreator-studio https://mcp.offlinecreatorstudio.com/mcp. Compatible clients manage OAuth authentication automatically for this endpoint.
What does OfflineCreator Studio do?
It exposes MCP tools that allow AI assistants to submit image and video generation jobs, inspect available models, and retrieve the resulting files.
When is OFFLINECREATOR_API_KEY required?
The OFFLINECREATOR_API_KEY variable is only needed for the local stdio setup via npx. Do not pass an API key when connecting to the remote HTTP URL, because authentication uses OAuth.
