misakanet — Claude Code MCP server: failure memory for agents
Searches evidence-rated write-ups of past failures by error text, so your agent stops re-debugging the same break.
claude mcp add misakanet -- uvx misakanetWhat misakanet does
MisakaNet is a lesson base about failures that an agent reaches over MCP. An error shows up, the agent sends its text to search, and gets back a fix someone already checked, along with an evidence rating. Every lesson is a Markdown file in the repo, reviewed the way code is.
Retrieval runs on BM25 from the Python standard library. There is no vector store and no embedding model, so nothing extra has to be hosted — Python 3.10 or newer is enough. Lessons carry levels, from a raw draft up to one confirmed by reuse across separate clients. When nothing matches, the server replies no_match and hands back a form for a new write-up.
The public endpoint https://misakanet.org/mcp allows anonymous reads, so no account or token is involved. For a local run the command is uvx misakanet — without uvx on the machine, adding the server just fails.
What it helps with
- look up a fix by pasting the error text
- reuse a verified fix instead of debugging from scratch
- tell a reviewed lesson from a draft by its evidence level
- turn a fresh failure into a lesson for the next agent
- wire failure search into an agent over MCP
Example prompts for the agent

Questions about misakanet
How do I install misakanet in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add misakanet -- uvx misakanet. That writes the server into your Claude config and starts it through uvx.
What does misakanet do?
It is an MCP server holding failure write-ups. An agent searches by error text and gets a lesson with an evidence rating, or a form to file a new one when nothing matches.
Do I need an account or a token?
No. The public endpoint https://misakanet.org/mcp serves anonymous reads, and a local run needs only Python 3.10 or newer.
