mcp-server-tempmail — Claude Code MCP server: setup and tools
Connects ChatTempMail to your coding assistant to generate disposable email inboxes and inspect incoming messages.
claude mcp add --env TEMPMAIL_API_KEY=<TEMPMAIL_API_KEY> --env TEMPMAIL_BASE_URL=<TEMPMAIL_BASE_URL> --transport stdio mcp-server-tempmail -- npx -y mcp-server-tempmailWhat mcp-server-tempmail does
This MCP server integrates the chat-tempmail.com API into coding assistants. It provides tools to retrieve available domains, create disposable addresses, and clean up expired mailboxes. When setting up an inbox, you can choose a lifespan ranging from 1 hour to indefinite.
The model can query received messages, inspect the full content of any email, and delete specific items. It also contains tools to inspect or update webhook URLs for incoming email events.
You need a personal key set in TEMPMAIL_API_KEY before starting. Without this credential from chat-tempmail.com, the server fails every call.
What it helps with
- automate sign-up flows and verification code extraction during tests
- create disposable inboxes directly through agent tool calls
- inspect email message bodies and headers without leaving the IDE
- configure webhook endpoints to listen for incoming mail notifications
Example prompts for the agent
- List available domains and register a temporary email valid for 1 hour
- Fetch the message list for inbox ID c2c4f894-c672-4d5b-a918-abca95aff1f7
- Show the full body of message fd13a8df-1465-4fbc-a612-ca7311c31ff2
