jobseek — Claude Code MCP server: job search from the chat
Wires job and company search from jseek.co into your AI agent. Handy when you want a shortlist of openings without leaving the editor.
claude mcp add jobseek -- npx -y @jseek/mcp-serverWhat jobseek does
The server hands your agent tools for searching jobs, reading posting metadata, looking up companies, and listing available filters. It also builds watchlist links with the parameters already filled in. Three write tools let you file a bug report, a feature idea, or a usability note.
The hosted endpoint speaks Streamable HTTP and needs no authentication: https://jseek.co/mcp. Add it as a custom MCP connector. The other route is running the package locally with npx @jseek/mcp-server.
Local use needs Node.js with npx available. Job data ships under CC BY-NC 4.0, so commercial reuse of the listings needs separate clearance; the server code itself is MIT.
What it helps with
- pull a filtered list of openings inside the agent chat
- see which employers are hiring for similar roles right now
- get a watchlist link with parameters already set
- send the maintainers a bug report or a feature idea
- check which search filters exist
Example prompts for the agent
- Find backend engineer jobs in Berlin with jobseek
- Show me which companies are hiring Python developers
- Build a watchlist link for jobs in Switzerland
