ideaudit — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
A local MCP server that calculates deterministic audit scores for an idea. Use it to check the arithmetic against your own inputs without an account.
claude mcp add --transport http ideaudit-tools https://api.inite.studio/mcpWhat ideaudit does
ideaudit provides tools for scoring an idea, including a verdict, composite scores, market barriers, unit economics and demand signals. The compute_dealbreakers_v2 tool returns GO only when its score, red-flag and confidence conditions are met. Its KILL decision does not shift with the observer’s profile. The calculations are deterministic: the same input yields the same result.
The local server computes but does not save audits or retrieve SERP, search-volume, funding or hiring data. It rejects auditId, so a result is not stored for later comparison. In Claude Code, start it with npx -y @inite/ideaudit-tools. If you need persisted audits or external signals, the local server alone won’t provide them.
What it helps with
- calculate an audit verdict from supplied data
- check an idea’s unit economics
- estimate market barriers and build complexity
- compare your figures with the tool’s calculations
Example prompts for the agent
- Calculate a verdict for this audit with
compute_dealbreakers_v2. - Check this project’s unit economics using
validate_unit_economics. - Estimate the market barriers for this idea with
compute_barrier.

Questions about ideaudit
How do I install ideaudit in Claude Code?
Add the local MCP server with claude mcp add ideaudit -- npx -y @inite/ideaudit-tools.
What does ideaudit do?
It offers deterministic tools for evaluating an idea, from producing a verdict to checking unit economics and market signals. The local server does not persist audit results.
How does the local server differ from the hosted ideaudit server?
The local version calculates results but does not store audits or fetch external data. Audit persistence, comparisons and third-party signals require the hosted server.
