What HasData Yelp does

This hosted server equips your agent with three read-only Yelp tools: keyword search by location, complete venue profiles, and paginated review feeds. All results return as clean, structured JSON. The service processes public listings across 41 localized domains, which eliminates the need to obtain credentials from Yelp Fusion or host your own scraper.

Connection works directly over streamable HTTP with an x-api-key header, or locally through the @hasdata/yelp-mcp npm package. HasData provides 1,000 free credits each month without asking for a payment card. Every successful call costs 10 credits, which caps the free usage tier at 100 calls per billing cycle.

What it helps with

  • search local businesses by category, keyword, or city
  • retrieve venue hours, phone numbers, amenities, and photos
  • extract customer review feeds filtered by rating or language
  • compare rating distributions and review volume between competitors

Example prompts for the agent

  • Find specialty coffee shops in Austin, TX and sort them by review count
  • Get the opening hours and phone number for desnudo-coffee-austin
  • Extract one-star reviews for this place and list the main customer complaints
