What Greenlit Books does

Greenlit Books connects an agent to a catalog of books about working with AI. Its tools can search for passages that address a question, return the full text of a book’s first chapter, explain glossary terms, and find claims relevant to a statement. Results include citation links.

The server also searches the site, matches topics to books, and provides series reading order. All tools are read-only. It connects over HTTPS to https://greenlitbooks.com/api/mcp without credentials and reads from the live catalog, so requests depend on network access to that endpoint.

What it helps with

  • find a book passage that answers a question about AI agents
  • check what sources support a claim about AI
  • look up a term defined in the books
  • choose a book for a topic and get its series order
  • get a citation link for a chapter or book

Example prompts for the agent

  • Find book passages explaining how to protect an AI agent from prompt injection.
  • Check which sources support this claim about AI agents.
  • Recommend a book on agent reliability and give me the series reading order.
