What Gnosem does

Gnosem is a hosted MCP server with one memory store shared across connected clients using the same API key. An agent can save facts, preferences, or decisions, search memories semantically, list recent entries, soft-delete one, or replace it with a corrected version.

Long entries are compressed when written, while the original text remains available; compression can also be disabled for an individual write. If the AI step fails, Gnosem still saves the memory. Set up the server in Claude Code and provide an API key. The key is shown once, so keep a copy.

What it helps with

  • carry project decisions across sessions
  • find saved context with a semantic query
  • share memory between MCP clients
  • replace stale notes with corrected ones

Example prompts for the agent

  • Remember that this project uses PostgreSQL.
  • Search my saved notes for the authentication decision.
  • Replace the outdated API version note with this one.
