Genfeed — Claude Code MCP server: content from your agent
Wires your coding agent into a content platform for generation, drafts and scheduling. Publishing still waits for a human.
claude mcp add --transport http genfeed https://mcp.genfeed.ai/mcpWhat Genfeed does
Genfeed is an open-source content agent. It produces videos, images and written posts, keeps a content library and a brand, then publishes to the channels you connect. The MCP server exposes that same loop to the AI agent you already run, so you can stay in the terminal. The hosted endpoint is https://mcp.genfeed.ai/mcp; Claude has its own path at https://mcp.genfeed.ai/mcp/claude.
The default preset is approval-first. An agent may generate, draft and schedule, but nothing goes live until a person signs off. Tools cover brands, drafts, existing assets, scheduling and analytics. Media itself gets created in Genfeed Playground rather than inside the agent.
Self-hosting the Community bundle instead? You need Docker Engine with the Compose v2 plugin and free ports 3000, 3010 and 3014. Text generation requires a real OPENROUTER_API_KEY in .env — an empty or template value counts as unconfigured, and the install-readiness check will report text generation as not ready. The project is at 0.x, so breaking changes arrive with an upgrade note in the release body.
What it helps with
- queue a post for later without leaving the agent
- prepare a draft and hand it over for review
- reuse brand settings and existing assets in a new generation
- check channel analytics from the same session
- produce an image or clip for a specific channel
Example prompts for the agent
- Connect to Genfeed and list the tools you can call.
- Draft a post for our brand and schedule it for tomorrow — don't publish yet.
- Show me analytics for the last few published items.

Questions about Genfeed
How do I install Genfeed in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http genfeed https://mcp.genfeed.ai/mcp, then open /mcp, pick genfeed and finish the browser OAuth flow.
What does Genfeed do?
It generates video, images and text, manages a content library, brand and schedule, and publishes to connected channels. Over MCP you drive that loop from your agent.
Can it publish without approval?
Not with the standard MCP preset. The agent generates, drafts and schedules; a human approves before anything is published.
