footballcharts-mcp — Claude Code MCP server
Connects an AI agent to football tables, results, fixtures and projections across 93 leagues, including lower divisions. Useful for match and season analysis.
claude mcp add --transport http footballcharts-mcp https://mcp.football-charts.com/mcpWhat footballcharts-mcp does
footballcharts-mcp exposes Football Charts data through MCP. An agent can inspect league standings, finished matches, upcoming fixtures, first-goal timing, team records and season projections. Coverage includes 93 leagues, with lower divisions and women’s competitions included.
The server provides ten read-only tools. They cover league discovery, table views, match details, team summaries, goal-timing splits and the model’s calibration record. Season projections use daily Monte Carlo runs, while match tools return calibrated probabilities.
An API key is optional. A free key raises the request allowance, but the hosted endpoint also accepts keyless access. The model publishes probabilities rather than betting recommendations, so its output should be read as football data and model context, not wagering advice.
What it helps with
- inspect a league table and current form
- compare a team’s results across a season
- find when a team scores most often
- check probabilities for upcoming fixtures
- review title and relegation projections
Example prompts for the agent
- Show the Allsvenskan title race after the latest round and compare the leading teams.
- Tell me whether Flamengo tends to score earlier or later in matches.
- Give me the K League table and identify teams outperforming the model’s expectation.
