Fitness AI Connector — Claude Code MCP server for Garmin data
Brings your Garmin health and activity data into Claude and other AI clients through the official Garmin Health API. Sign-in happens over OAuth, so no password changes hands.
claude mcp add --transport http fitness-ai-connector https://garmin-mcp-nuqd.onrender.com/mcpWhat Fitness AI Connector does
It is a hosted remote server speaking Streamable HTTP, so there is nothing to run on your machine. Twelve tools ship with it: a daily snapshot covering sleep, HRV, stress and Body Battery, activity lists, a deep dive into one workout with lap splits and per-second series, body composition, cycle tracking, weekly trends, and a refresh call.
Authentication runs on Garmin's own page using OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Your Garmin credentials never reach the server. Data arrives through the Garmin Health API webhook/pull model, and you can revoke access from Garmin account settings or wipe everything at once.
History has a catch: it starts from the day you connect. Importing a Garmin data export, up to 10 years back, is part of the Basic plan only. Body composition needs a smart scale, and cycle tracking has to be switched on in Garmin Connect beforehand — otherwise that tool comes back empty.
What it helps with
- ask the agent how sleep went over the past week
- break down the latest run by laps and heart rate drift
- compare weekly averages to see whether training is paying off
- pull body composition numbers from a smart scale
- get fresh Garmin data into the chat without exporting files by hand
Example prompts for the agent
- Give me today's health snapshot: sleep, HRV, stress and Body Battery
- Break down my last run by lap splits and heart rate drift
- Compare this week's averages with last week — am I getting faster?
